GMHCC Ambassador Program
1. Purpose
The GMHCC Ambassadors Program is established to support the mission of the Greater Manor Hispanic Chamber of Commerce by strengthening member engagement, supporting membership growth, promoting Chamber programs, and representing the Chamber in the community.
Ambassadors serve as volunteer leaders and goodwill representatives who help build relationships, welcome new members, and support Chamber activities.
2. Program Objectives
The objectives of the Ambassadors Program are to:
Welcome and engage new members
Support membership growth and retention
Assist with Chamber events and activities
Promote Chamber programs and initiatives
Strengthen connections between the Chamber and the local business community
Serve as positive and professional representatives of the Chamber
3. Eligibility
To be eligible to serve as an Ambassador, an individual must:
Be a member in good standing of the Greater Manor Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Be a business owner, professional, or community leader supportive of the Chamber’s mission
Be willing to represent the Chamber in a positive, professional, and respectful manner
4. Appointment and Term
Ambassadors are appointed by the President or the Board of Directors.
Ambassadors serve one (1) year terms, which may be renewed.
The Chamber may remove or replace an Ambassador at any time for inactivity, misconduct, or actions inconsistent with the Chamber’s mission or values.
5. Roles and Responsibilities
Ambassadors are expected to:
Welcome new members and help introduce them to the Chamber community
Represent the Chamber at events, ribbon cuttings, and community activities when possible
Assist with event check-in, greetings, and networking support as available
Promote Chamber programs, events, and membership opportunities
Encourage engagement and participation among members
Serve as a positive and professional representative of the Chamber at all times
Participation is voluntary, and expectations are based on availability and reasonable effort.
6. Time Commitment
Ambassadors are encouraged to:
Attend Chamber events when possible
Participate in outreach or support activities during the year
Remain engaged and responsive to Chamber communications
This is a volunteer leadership role and does not require a fixed number of hours.
7. Recognition
The Chamber may recognize Ambassadors through:
Listing on the Chamber website and/or promotional materials
Public recognition at Chamber events or meetings
Use of the “Ambassador” designation in Chamber-related activities
Consideration for future committee or leadership opportunities within the Chamber
8. Oversight
The Ambassadors Program shall operate under the oversight of the President and/or the Board of Directors. The Board may revise, expand, or discontinue the program at any time by board action.
9. Relationship to Bylaws
This policy establishes an operational program of the Chamber and does not amend or supersede the Chamber’s bylaws. The Ambassadors Program is an advisory and support initiative and does not confer board authority, voting rights, or governance powers.
